Rules, Regulations and Cancellation Policy
The accommodation property rents out 4-person rooms and rooms in apartments. All rooms share common facilities such as bathrooms, living area and a guest kitchen. Bed linen and towels are included. The guest has to put on bedding himself/herself. For stays longer than four (4) days, room cleaning and change of bed linen and towels can be arranged upon request.
The reception is staffed every day from 08am till 10pm. If planning to check-in later, contact the reception.
You will always get the cheapest fare by booking directly through the hostel. Fee applies by booking through third party sites. Sometimes the price you receive while requesting a booking differ from what is presented on the website, this is due to extraordinary high season. You will always be given the correct price after sending a request.
The hostel reserves the right for any printing errors regarding price and other services on this site. Please contact us if you have any questions.
A booking is binding when it has been confirmed and you have received a confirmation. When booking during the reception’s opening hours, the rooms will be booked immediately. When booking outside these hours, the room will be booked the following day. We will need your full name, telephone number and e-mail address. You will receive a booking confirmation by e-mail. This confirmation is a proof that you, as a guest, have been booked a room for the specified period.
You must be at least 18 years old to book a room at Trondheim Vandrerhjem. If booking for a minor, you are responsible regardkess of whether you are staying or not.
There is no right of withdrawal in accordance with the Right of Withdrawal Act regarding travel and residence.
We demand full payment by the time of check-in. This is done by card payment, and we accept both Mastercard and VISA. Trondheim Vandrerhjem is a cashless accommodation, thus there will be no opportunity to pay with cash.
Check-in and check-out
Booked hotel rooms are guaranteed to be ready for checking in from 14:00 on the date of arrival. The check-out time is latest 12:00 on the departure date. Early check-in or late check-out may be arranged based on availability.
Valid ID with photo has to be presented by all guests at check-in. For our international guests, passports and European ID-cards are valid. All guests has to be registered with their full name and nationality.
Change / Cancellation
It is safe to book accommodation with us. Cancellation is free of charge up to 48 hours before check-in. For group bookings, change or cancellation is free of charge up to 14 days before arrival, unless other terms are given.
Cancellations must be sent in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org, marked with «cancellation» and reference number as specified in the booking confirmation. No-show is charged 100% of the price for the stay. In this case, an invoice will be sent.
Trondheim Vandrerhjem processes personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Act. Information that can be linked to you as an individual will never be available to other companies or be linked to external registers.
It is not allowed to consume alcohol in the hotel’s public areas.
Trondheim Vandrerhjem facilitates both cats and dogs. Specific rooms are reserved for pets, so please place your booking well in advance to be secured one of these rooms. An additional fee will apply due to extra cleaning. Animals are not allowed in the beds or in the common areas. If you are allergic, please let us know so that we can give you an allergy-friendly room.
Please pay attention to the location of emergency exits, alarms and fire extinguishers. For more information, please consult the information board placed on the inside of your hotel room door.
It is not allowed to let other people into the building/room than those listed as guests. If there is a special need for this, an agreement with the hostel has to be made in advance. It is not allowed to party in the rooms or in the common areas. It must be quiet by 11:00 pm both indoors and in the outdoor area.
Kitchen: When using the kitchen, you should always wash up after yourself and leave the kitchen in the same state as before use. You are welcome to store food in the refrigerator and freezer. All food must be placed in paper bags (available in the kitchen) and marked with name and departure date. Unmarked food placed in the refrigerator or the freezer or in expired bags will be thrown.
At check-out, guests must remove their own bedding and place it in a trolley under the stairs at the reception. Keys are delivered to reception staff or in a key deposit box at reception. A fee of NOK 1500 is charged per lost key and will be charged at the time of check out.
